Default Black/Chrome Honda Hood Emblem

My car's in the shop replacing hood & fender due to someone backing into me.

The mechanic told me yesteday that they're replacing the apparently after-market emblem the previous owner had installed with the OEM silver one.

I wonder where I could buy the one I had before the accident. I don't have a photo handy, but it's bulky, square, silver-on-black, enamel-like emblem.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

My suggestion is to not bother with the emblem and shave the emblem off for that clean look!

You are referencing the Black Chrome emblem which is not aftermarket. The OEM number for the part is 08F20-S2A-10001

Which is exactly what I linked you to. HardTopGuy has had sometimes sketchy response time and charges more than the dealer for those items. Note that he never publishes the part numbers. I bought the Black Chrome kit from him once and won't do it again.

MuffinMan - you are talking about the black chrome optional Honda badges that came from Honda. They look exactly like the factory badges but are a darker shade of chrome. What OP is talking about is the solid square badge that has a black background and the silver H on it. Hardtopguy (I believe) offers both kinds for sale.

Edit - here's the other kind... http://hardtopguy.com/store/product....&cat=11&page=1
