Default Black Emblem kit for 2005 s2000?

Ok so I ordered the black chrome emblem kit from hardtopguy.com ( heres the link to the exact ones I purchased-http://hardtopguy.com/store/product.php?productid=650&cat=11&page=1). They are a little smaller so I was wondering if they should still fit, and if I have to worry about the old emblems leaving a "ghost" imprint. I haven't installed them yet, but I'm hoping to soon if its possible to install them. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

They are indeed smaller. I run one on the back of my S... Just make sure you get some goo gone to take care of the old emblem adhesive.

They will fit your 05. Here is mine on an 07. They are slightly darker than the stock chrome ones even though it's tough to tell in my pic.

cool I was a little worried, also do you have to ruin the stock emblems to get them off. I heard the newer models had one way pins instead of 2 way so you had to cut them. Not really a big deal but I would hate to ruin the stock ones. By the way nice s2000 U really like the hood and the rims, are those powder coated?

I have them on my 04 seems like every one with the Rio puts them on lol. I didnt care for them though they need to be darker in the sun they look stock.

I didnt use goo gone I go to autoparts store and buy a can of prep all used before paint to clean it. Then go over it with some rubbing compound. Dont know where you live but I hit the 3m tape quickly with heat gun NOT too long but enough to make the tape super tacky. Then installed.

On the Back you have to remove the 2 plastic pieces that will stay in car once you remove the emblem.

Any question shoot me a PM

Here's a good alternative to buying black badges, paint them yourself without needing to remove them. If you don't like the paint job, than you can take it off. Here's a link to the PlastiDip DIY (lots of pics)

As far as 07Rios2k back bumper goes, he actually did it himself, here's a link for that DIY. 07Rios2k DIY AP2 Bumper Fins
