Bride Vios III Sport C Review

This is a review of a Bride Vios III Sport-C seat part # F42STF which is only 5.8kg/12.79 lbs according to Bride
which is lighter than all of their Carbon seats. It is not FIA approved though, and I dunno the difference between a Sport-C vs a regular Vios III Sport? A hundred bucks and that's it maybe?? Attachment 103534 I bought this seat because I wanted to: A) save my OEM seat from wear and tear B) have benefits of a lightweight bucket seat C) sit in a seat that no one else farted in how it came shipped Attachment 103535 Real or Fake? You decide... Attachment 103536 where it came from Attachment 103537 documentation of authenticity Attachment 103538 Driver seat rail LFH152 Attachment 103539 Attachment 103540 Attachment 103541 Attachment 103542 I had some extra rubber washers that I installed in seat rail * these DO NOT come with the seat! Attachment 103543 seat removal Attachment 103544 5 seconds later... Attachment 103545 Install was straightforward and the seat has plenty of clearance since it is only 560mm across Attachment 103546 No rubbing Attachment 103547 The hardest part was figuring out how to mount the seat belt Attachment 103548 I bought a seat belt extender from http://www.4extender.com/ - Actual 2008-09 S2000 seat belt extender http://www.4extender.com/SB.JPG I found out that for a 2008-09 at least, the OEM seat belt receiver won't work so I just bolted the extender onto the hole in the seat rail The OEM seat belt receiver is under the seat and I actually need another metal seat belt buckle in order to turn off the damn seat belt light/beeping http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...611_220234.jpg Also I am not sure if the seat belt should go through the harness hole or not? It is easy enough to fix though Attachment 103549 One word: Snug. They don't call them holding monsters for nothing Attachment 103550 The seat feels really good and I am happy with the seat but do I think it is worth it? Hell No! I paid a whole lot of money $$$$ for some cloth, fiberglass and a metal rail but oh well at least no one else has farted in them before... oh yeah I recommend getting security screws the bolts are sized M8x25mm Attachment 103551 |
LOL no one has farted in them before. Now that you say that, I'm having second thoughts about buying second hand..

LOL, all farts aside...
That's an interesting way to mount the seat belt buckle. Seems like it worked out well though. I ended up having to cut the OEM seat buckle to get it to mount to a Buddy Club rail. I used the same extender. What don't yo like about the seat? Have you driven fast through some turns to get a feel for whether you feel more planted than the OEM CR seat? That tends to be the best benefit of the racing seats. When driving at the limit, you can feel why its worth it. |
what he said ^^^ but I'm glad your satisfied with our service, let me know if you need anything else
its hard to justify seats sometimes, believe me I sell them =P, but it really makes a difference on the track. Good seats feel great in turns and hold you in, oem and even knock offs tend to feel like the fiberglass is about to break on hard turns. But it all comes down to what you want, personally I love buckets for street use, gives me the opportunity to break out the racekor whenever ppl cut me off  |

I moved the belt out of the hole, it feels much better that way I also found some nylon tool pouches at the 99ยข store and made wear patches out of them Attachment 103360 |
