buying an ap2 front bumper....
so i really want an ap2 front bumper... i think its important that its truly oem and has honda part # on it...
does anyone know of the correct direction to go when doing this? should i just call up honda? or is there someone else reputable online selling these?
also... im seeing them online for sale for like $300 saying "oem" does that sound correct?
thanks,
Matt

The bumper cover used to be factory finished in body color. Not sure what color 04711-S2A-A92ZZ is or if it's just primer but just searching for the part number shows it "in stock" at the normal Honda discount parts places for $263.27. Shipping will be expensive. I'd check with your local, friendly Honda or Acura dealer like Kos suggests.
Professional painting to match your body color will probably be another $300+.

do some research, I had to notch my crash bar when I put an AP2 bumper on my 02. if not you'll get spider cracks under the headlights, the ap2 bumper on my car now came off another ap1 where they didn't notch it and it has the cracks
When I bought my 02 it had quite a bit of front and rear bumper damage. I ordered the AP2 bumpers through honda. They came bare, no primer but took very little prep to get paintable.
I added quite a bit of extra bracing on the lower part of the bumper as the AP1 bumpers just didnt seem to need it. Without it the bottom 2/3's of the bumpers just kinda hung there. Without it my front bumper kind of acted like a sail and would flex back and fourth while driving. Nothing noticeable until you start to get tiny little cracks that eventually flake off in a car wash.
sorry i dont have the part numbers anymore, I did this the better part of 5 years ago.
