Default C-ring on cdv

ok so today i decided to do the cdv removal on my MY05 slave cylinder. i got the cylinder off the car in about 2 min and then werestled with the c-ring for about an hour. when i finally got the edge of the ring up over the lip i didnt want it to slide back down so i just kind of tried to pop it out. well upon doing this the ring flew out of the cylinder and landed in the grass and is now impossible to find. does anyone know exactly how to go about finding another one of these?

You can get a new slave Cylinder for 50ish. You can buy an 03 which won't have the CDV. I'm not sure you can buy the spring seperate.

You could try Majestic Honda or Hard Top Guy, but your best bet is just going to your local hardware store and see if the have a snap ring that fits.

I had to find a snap ring for my old car's shift linkage. Tractor Supply Co had the best selection.

As others have mentioned on here you have 2 choices...

1. Go to your supplies/autoparts store and find a C ring that will fit in there.

2. Buy an Ap1 slave cylinder and install that on to the car.

Pick the one that is the easiest/simplest/least expensive...

Sorry to hear the crappy luck. Same thing happened to me, but fortunately found it after spending 30mins looking for it. I'd spend some time looking for it, as that's free and it honestly couldn't have gone too far. If you were working around grass though, I can see how it can be well hidden.

Perhaps using some magnetic pickups tools and sifting them through the grass is one option to finding it. If not, others here gave you a good solution. Good luck.
