Calling oem hard top owners.
So I installed one today. There is some wind noise from the dri er side I think window area?
Also anyone ever roll up their windows all the way and when closed the door it would hit part of the top a little?
Happened to my pass side. Window was rolled up all the way and I went to get something from the pass side. Opened up ok but when I closed the door it hit part of the top...
Thanks

Yep, you don't have the hardtop seated/aligned properly. Not to be captain obvious about it but you want to drop the OEM hardtop down and align the rear catchers while holding the HT level. Don't tighten down the handles until you have it lined up correctly, there shouldn't be any big gaps and it should be an even gap. Then tighten down the rears first then the front catchers.
If your car has been in an accident or the hardtop you got was damaged, it might not align properly too, but the OEM hardtop should fit like a glove, no windnoise or hitting the window/door.

I realigned mine probably 1000 times before I finally got it.
Remove the shims on the front two latches and that will reduce your wind noise tremendously. There are 3 of them stacked up on either side, 6 total.
*edit*
Shin-Etsu grease all over the rubber seals will help out a lot, as will following the stock specifications for spacing and gaps.

my passenger side metal moulding rubbed the top edge of the glass of the door. I got it adjusted so it is now just slightly above the glass and no longer rubs. There are many things to consider adjusting.
You adjust the front latches and strikers to get the hardtop about 1 mm below the front rollbar and weatherstripping. if your hardtop is higher than that measurement you can remove shims from the latches or add shims to the strikers. If your hardtop sits lower than 1mm below the front rollbar and weatherstripping then add shims to the latches.
Follow the factory procedure to align the rear using the catchers and the adjustment bolts that are on the inside of the plastic side panels (interior). Tighten them down when the adjustment is correct. See the threads on how to install the OEM hardtop to see detailed pics. There is a certain procedure to follow on the adjustment and you need to do it in perfect order to get it right.
You can adjust the metal retainer on each side of the hardtop below the rubber seals to move the weatherstripping inwards or outwards against the glass. This will reduce windnoise and water infiltration. Final thing is to shin etsu grease all rubber. You can also adjust the distance that the door closes against the body by adjusting the rubber stoppers on the doors, closer is tighter, further is looser fitment on the seals.
I spent many hours adjusting mine to make it fit my car after I bought it used, but it is perfect now.
