Would I be able to save this little guy. Local auction in my city, clean title, runs and drives




what would it need if salvageable

Assuming the motor, transmission, and differential are all in good working condition, that's absolutely savable. If you can get it for $8K-ish, it's worth at least that as a parts donor car.

Maybe a good winter project? Turbocharger (any forced induction) makes this highly suspect to me. Even if the body and frame were fixed. Not sure where $8,000 came from but if running the drive train is worth at least that much if parted out.
