Default Carbon Side Diffusers

I may be the dumbest ass on here - but I don't want others to make the same error that I made or at least be better aware of what they are ordering.

I recently ordered some carbon side diffusers from VIS thinking they were the ones that people on this site have given great reviews on from the company Down Force......if you look at the VIS site they are described as "DF Carbon Fiber Side Diffusers" ......which I thought meant they were the Down Force product as opposed to a description of the function they perform.

Anyways, they come in the post and there are no holes drilled out and no fitting hardware .....now this is not a huge deal, but its still a PITA as I am thinking now what size screws do I need, I gotta go get some etc....

To cut a long story short - they are a different product completely although they look like the DF brand, but with no fitting hardware shipped and at retail price they are also more expensive than the Down Force brand.

As a BTW, I called DF the manufacturer and thats when I found out that I had been confused and ordered the wrong product, one that looks like theirs but is not theirs. They were good enough to say we will ship you what you need to fit these....how good are they!!!

So if you are thinking of getting some of these - I hope this is helpful to you.

As you should know, VIS makes and sells CF/FRP replicas.

As far as hardware, it isn't a big deal. All you need is a couple of tapping screws (screw into the under body), and for added security some 3M moulding tape.

Have you contacted VIS about missing hardware?

Wisdom - thxs for the response, I will get back to VIS and say that these should ship with fitting screws, but I have to say I was REALLY impressed with the guys at Down Force .....they obviously took pity on my lack of awareness.

honestly you get what you pay for usually, i ordered the a-j racing ones for half the price and was not satisfied with them(to heavy in my opinion). ended up selling them. However I"m glad your situation is somewhat resolved though

Once I get them on there I will take some pics. Its one of those parts that is actually quite hard to photograph, coz they only stick out a little bit from the car, but that is actually what makes these things look so subtle
