Changed ecu's, no power to injectors...
If anyone at all can shed some light on some things for me i would be greatly thankful. Im working on an 01 s2k that used to be turbo'd and tuned via aem ems. I took all the turbo stuff off and picked up a stock ecu for the car ( as i didnt have the oem ) and we've been fighting for weeks over not getting any power to the injectors... Someone mentioned to us that it probably isnt working due to the fact of the ecu having to be vin matched and its like a security thing. The key on the cluster blinks when you try n start it. The Fuel pump works and the motor cranks over fine. Just no fire to the injector clips ( we put a tester light to one clip )
IF it is the immobilzer which were hoping it is lol because we cant figure what else it could be. Is there anyway of over-riding that or, Do i need to have honda flash the ecu or? Im clueless lol and i thank yah in advance for any and all help.

Yes, the immobilizer is tripping the system. best indicator for it is the immobilizer icon in your gauge cluster is flashing and not off completely. The only way to bypass it is to have the VIN of the original vehicle of your new ECU and get an immobilizer bypass from the dealer, which requires some proof that you own the vehicle with that
VIN. Then you would have to input the bypass each and every time you want to drive it. I speak from experience... you don't wanna put in the code each and every time you drive the car.
I believe there may be a method also that you can remove the immobilizer chip from the ECU, but that requires opening it up, de-soldering the board, and putting in some capacitors and resistors.

Oh my... oh nelly lol Im stuck between a rock and a hard place then. I bought the ecu off of ebay and i havent the slightest clue as to what the vin is from the car its off of. I'll try and contact them, youre right though, i dont really wanna put in some pass everytime i drive it.
I really wish the previous owner would have kept the stock ecu after he boosted it. So basically, im not gonna be taking my ecu to the local honda dealership and have them "flash the ecu with my vin" or whatever... hmm...

I thought that's how it works? Plenty of people swapped ECUs on here. All I hear is that you just either tow the car to the dealer and program it, or have a locksmith come out and do it for you.
I have no personal experience though, just trying to remember what I read.

if you have the vin the dealer can flash the small chip located in the key to sync it with the new ecu. I have heard a couple people say they charge about 80 dollars to do this. Email the guy you bought it from and see if he can find out what the vin is.
