Default Chase race hitch question

Posted this in the s2000 talk forum but I don't think anyone there can give a real answer. Is there anyone in this forum that could help me out here?

What is the most weight anyone has ever pulled using the chase race hitch on their s2000? I'm curious to hear some people's experience on the chase hitch. How much is the chase hitch rated for??

I couldn't find anything on the Chase Web Site but would think it would be similar to the Curt hitch . The Curt hitch is rated at 2000# carrying and 200# tongue.

I've stood on my chase race and bounced the car pretty heavily (I'm 220lbs). No problems at all. I use it to haul two mountain bikes on a hefty Thule carrier and it's solid.

Thanks for the reply!

Is it possible to take the hitch off at any time so as to hide it? Or is that a huge process to take it off for when I wouldn't want to use it?

Once installed you can pull the pins to remove but you do have to be able to get under the car to remove the front pin.

Getting under the car isn't too big of a deal for me. I'm going and agile still
