i run skunk2 springs on koni yellows and the car rides/drives/handles awesome!

i would suggest a spring/koni shock setup. i paid 750 for mine in total.

 

Well, if you're trying to autocross I at least suggest adjustable coilovers.

As far as what brand, that is going to vary; like everything, you get what you pay for.

 

DO NNNOOOTTT GET KSPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I OWN THEM... HORRIBLE REBOUND!!!!! BUT AS FOR A TRACK CAR.. WOULDNT BE SO BAD.. BC U WONT HIT BUMPS... LIKE ON THE STREET... SO RLY IT WOULD BE AWSOME ON TRACK.. SPEND THE MOENY.. GET KW VARIANT VERSION 3

 

My Megan Racing coilovers were less than $900 shipped. Good quality for a cheap price imho.

 

Buddy club, i have these on my ap1, honestly, for the price roughly $1050 shipped the best coilovers in that price range. Wont be dissappointed.

 

a lot of people are running tein flex and kw v3. from what ive read kw v3 is one of the best coilovers out for the car for a reasonable price. about $1700-1800. good for both track and street.

 

Apexi, Buddy Club, Megan, Koni+GC for under 1000.

More comfortable
KW v2, Bilstien Pss9 would be good for both for around 1300.

Kw v3 = 1850

Stick to a coilover, you'll be happier at the end.

 

I'm in the market for suspension, too. I originally wanted to go with Koni yellows + springs to save money and keep adjustment to a minimum so I didn't mess up my suspension settings too much.

But I have to agree with IDomN8U, you'll be happier in the end with a fully adjustable coilover, especially if you autox or track. I imagine that if you were to go koni yellows + springs you would eventually want more adjustment and buy coilovers anyway so why not do it right from the start?

 

Koni's are very nice for track/autox, get 450 Fronts/420 Rears or 420 Fronts/380 Rear for a neutral balance.

You'll hear very little negativity about these shocks
