Coilovers for my ap1
I drive a 2000 ap1 with 54k miles when I bought it I upgraded to swift spec r springs to get rid of the wheel gap and they're much cheaper than coilovers. Last week I drove my car 2 hours to sebring raceway for a my first track day. It was a blast but made me realize that I need coilovers sooner rather than later. I've narrowed it down to two different options. Either kw v3 or fortune auto 510 gen 7s.
It is mostly my daily driver but I will be doing multiple track a year. I'm going to buy them during black Friday. And price isn't an issue. Link to sebring track day. https://youtu.be/R993g_48ctw Thanks. |
We have 3 different tiers of Ohlins that a lot of people here on the forum can attest to. If you're mainly daily driving and want track use coilovers our FPsport coilovers are 11kg/11kg and the valving and more stroke for the track.
https://www.sakebombgarage.com/fpspo...ins-dfv-s2000/ You can go full race or the Vanilla DFV's we always have in stock and many additional options to upgrade them. |
You might want to get something mid range untill you drop alot of cash into Ohlins
I'm a big fan of the HKS Hypers they are great and a good value. |
Man, I have been so happy with how well my Ohlins work that its hard not to recommend them.
What made you think you *need* coilovers, though? I mean they definitely help with overall confidence and you can tune them into something faster. But you just bought those swift too....you don't want to see how far you can dial the car in with those? |
Another vote for Ohlins. Price is close to the V3 I believe. Save and buy the part once over buying something you will end up upgrading again down the road.
