No cutting required for a CAI, just remove the underneath splash guard completely and tire splash guard will stretch around the pipe

Yes, I had to cut part of my hood and grille to install my J's intake. The hood also needs to be cut for the Mugen and ASM intakes.

remove my res? not sure what that is. I drove with the top down and it was loud a fack haha people on the side of the road would turn and look when I blipped the throttle.

same here with mine. took all of 5 min to make the cut and you can barely see where you need to make the cut. you will need to do this for any of the aem, fujita or other cold air intakes that fit behind the front bumper.
