Default Colder Spark Plugs

Hey S2,

For some reason I'm having a hard time finding a place online where I can purchase 2 step colder spark plugs. I have the GReddy turbo kit with 1 step colder denso's and I'm looking to go another step colder. Can anyone direct me?
Thanks!

You don't really need 2 steps colder. 1 step colder should be fine. I'd recommend these: http://www.amazon.com/NGK-BKR8EIX-Ir...dp/B001B6VUTM/

Most of the members on the board (including myself) are using those and love them.

I am using the 8's and they are fine but when tracking and the car gets hot it was suggested to me to try an even colder plug.

Can someone suggest a good set? I have a track day on the 17th.

You can get essentially the same plug in one step colder than the 8s (9... which is 2 steps colder than stock) if you really wanted to: http://www.amazon.com/NGK-BKR9EIX-Ir.../dp/B001B6VUW4

The 8s should be fine though. If you're having issues you might just need to close the gap some.

My tuner was the one that suggested them after I threw CELs at a track day where the ambient temperature was 95 degrees and no shade. The CELs were misfires on all cylinders.

Does this sound like a scenario where the 9's would help?

I'm no guru, but it sounds like closing the gap on your plugs some could solve the issue. Won't hurt to try anyways and its a potentially free fix.

The issue in having is I currently have one step colder denso's and I'm running 91 octane, and I get a bit of knocking. The GReddy kit itself recommends 2 steps colder, I just can't seem to find them.

I have the iridiums you pictured in your earlier post, what should I gap them to?

Most say .023 works fine for them if they were having issues with the stock gap. You can go a little lower if need be, but I doubt it would be neccesary. Confirm with your tuner though.

I doubt you really need 2 steps colder, but if you insist:
