Default Competition Stage 2 clutch buzz

some of you may already know i just recently purchased and installed a stage 2 clutch from competition. the clutch is great exept for the major clutch buzz when deaccelerating. if all goes well i am doing the AP2 tranny swap for my AP1 and i wanted to know what i can do to fix this buzzing since i will have the tranny off again. i disinigrated my rear diff two nights ago and pay be picking up a good deal on the tranny and diff together. Any help would be great.

New clutch disc is only way to get rid of buzz. Pretty much any Competitoin clutch will have the buzz so getting a new one won't help.

Clutch 'buzz' or chatter is pretty much common w/hi-performance clutchs. I have a Center Force dual friction in my 4runner, that thing is a beast, noisy, jerky, chattery but when it's clamped up, it rocks!

I'ts pretty much something you'll have to live with, only thing you can do to help alleviate jerkiness and some chatter is to modulate the clutch while driving. Usually after it wears in (sometime takes a long time) alot of the nuisance tends to smooth out, maybe not completely but it should get a little better over time.

I forgot, another thing that will make a clutch nasty is failing to resurface the PP when putting in a new clutch......

i purchased the competition flywhell as well when i installed the clutch so that is new as well. if i used a ACT clutch disk with the competition PP and Flywheel do you think it will eliminate some of the Chatter.

Not sure if that'll help

i babied the car for the first 500 miles to let the clutch settle. at exactly 496 miles on he new clutch i figured i could go play and at 502 miles 8 miles later i dumped the clutch and car car didn't move.

CC stage 2 shouldn't be that hard on your drivetrain. i wouldn't blame the clutch. does anyone else think his diff was on its way out anyway?

the diff was aready bad i could feel what felt like a 15 - 20 hp decrease in power before it went. i broke my right rear half shaft just before i put in the new clutch, and the car vibrated and shaked for at least 1500 miles when i accerated before that. im hoping that after the new diff goes in, all the shakes will go away and my "power loss" will be restored. i do to much drifting and launching the car for the diff not to go out. im still N/A but i am hard on my cars. I have used the Lucas oil Full sinthetic gear oil in the diff and tranny for the last 30,000 miles that i have owned the car. maybe that could have been a factor who knows. just figured maybe i could beef up the whole drivetrain while i was replacing the broke stuff.
