Confused about the AEM CAI...
I went to the AEM website to look up the options for MY06 and it doesn't appear to have an option for the AEM V2.
Does the V2 only work on models older than 2005? If not, are there any modifications I would need to do for a V2 to fit properly in my06?
I would prefer to have it bolt-on rather than going through the trouble of cutting and/or drilling just to get the V2 to fit properly in my06 but if the benefits of the V2 outweigh the benefits of the this, then I am open for suggestions! Thanks!

^^ There is a version which has the filter sitting right behind the opening of the front bumper but a little skeptical running it in the rain since it's clearly exposed to the elements unlike most CAI's which are hidden in the passenger wheel well.
Ah, here we go...
redesigned AEM 06+ CAI
I had the Injen CAI which was for an 06+(carb certified and all). Bolt on and no worries.

Ouch! Yeah thanks for showing me that picture... I would rather not risk that even though texas rarely gets flooding. So i the injen CAI better? It doesn't sound bad and I know intakes aren't really meant for hp gains, mainly just for the sound. How's the cost?

Fujita makes a great CAI product. I never tested it on the dyno but the quality of the product I got from them back on 2007 was amazing! And very inexpensive if bought from the right vendor.
Like others have posted I would be very skeptical running the AEM that puts the filter in front of the airdam with nothing to shield it from direct contact with rain.

Better in what way(s)? It's already stated that it doesn't expose the filter like the AEM. You'll probably still want an umbrella and/or to plug the fender hole above the filter.
Texas is a big state. Depends on where you are in Texas. We certainly get flooding in Houston.
