I just recently got a OEM hardtop for my 2000 AP1. However, I am not able to find the connector to plug in the hardtop defogger. I saw a 2004 AP2 is just behind the driver seats. Do you guys know where is it? Thanks!

 

I believe the 2000s in particular need some extra wiring to connect the defroster. Anyone wanna chime in on this one?

 

you need to buy some extra wiring. If you email hardtopguy I'm sure he can get you the needed wiring harness. Will probably cost about $100 though.

 

failing that I would try and get the wiring harness second hand off a 02+ in the classifieds. In the HT install, you will see the wiring for the defroster behind the brushes panel (drivers side), where you bolt down the OEM rears mounts.

There are two different harnesses. One for the newer AP2, and then one for the AP1. I was sent both when I got my hardtop from Hardtopguy. Where are you located?

I'm having the same issue with hardtop guy. I guess they don't want my business.

 

Use majestic Honda with the provided part number above. It should give you the correct harness. I just ordered ones for AP2 on Sunday.
