CR steering rack stiffeners

Did the shop align the car? If so they increased caster which is most likely what you're feeling. The steering stiffeners only increase the effective stiffness of the mounting bolts that mount the rack to the sub-frame. There are really only two bolts that hold the rack from moving side to side which are on the drivers side. The other two just position it but don't prevent it from moving side to side. In theory the only thing you might get from this is feel.
I changed mine and noticed nothing. You'll feel more of a difference with the cr swaybar (depending on year of course)

I do have the full CR suspension though. The change in coilovers and sway bars have nothing to do with increased steering feel, right?

No the car was not aligned. I was thinking about that too, how caster would be the obvious culprit for increased steering effort. But I have not aligned the car yet.

CR has it's own unique steeering torque sensor and EPS control unit that are different from AP1s and even MY08/09 base model AP2s.

Large sway bar will cause this. It's bigger and heavier.

Change in height, and hence suspension geometry, could be the cause.
All these little factors add up.

Slight caster change from removing the front upper/inner control arm mount and if the ride height is slightly higher than before you'll have toe in which will feel similar.
Get your car aligned then check back.
HI, I WILL INSTALL AN 2001 AP1 RACK ON MY 2005 AP2 AND DO I NEED TO CHANGE THE TORQUE ESNSOR (INTERMEDIATE SHAFT) TO BENEFIT THE AP1 RATIO OR BY SIMPLY PUT AO1 RACK ON MY AP2 TORQUE SENSOR ASSY WILL BE OK? AND DO I WILL HAVE THE SAME AP1 STEERING FEEL?? THANK YOU FOR YOU HELP BECAUSE A GUY FIT CR RACK ON AN AP2 AND NOTICE NO CHANGE AT ALL... THANK YOU FOR AND HAVE A NICE DAY!!
DO WE NEED TO JUST INSTALL AP1 RACK ON AP2 TO HAVE THE AP1 RATIO OR WE NEED TO CHANGE THE TORQUE SENSOR ASSY (INTERMEDIATE SHAFT)? IT IS A DIRECT FIT AND WITH JUST THE RACK CHANGE BUT WITH THE AP2 TORQUE SENSOR ASSY WILL GIVE ME THE AP1 STEERING FEEL?

AP1's steering rack has the same ratio as the CR model. Hence the reason I had it installed on mine.

CR is 13.8 : 1
down from 14.9 :1 of the AP2 S2000.
I am not familiar with AP1
