Default CTR vs. CR OEM shift knob

I am looking at getting a new shift knob and I am wondering what the difference (if any) is between these two OEM knobs.

OEM CR Knob With Red Lettering:

OEM CTR Knob

The CR knob from hardtop guy has yellow lettering, but there is an option for red lettering. Are these basically the same shift knob or are there any differences? Thanks, and Merry Christmas!

I bought one that looks like the CTR one, but I only paid $20 shipped for it on Ebay. Quality is awesome.

I am not exactly sure which knob Jeff (hardtopguy) is selling. From what I recall, there are three OEM knobs to choose from:

1. CR (Yellow Lettering): 54102-S2A-C00
2. Ultimate Edition (Identical to CR but with Red Lettering): 54102-S2A-E00
3. CTR: 54102-SMT-E01

The CTR shift knob has additional material at the base which makes it sit slightly higher than the CR and Ultimate Edition knob. I have attached two pictures that show the differences in the CR/Ultimate Edition base versus the CTR base. Other than that, the knobs are identical. If this difference bothers you, you might want to ask Jeff if he is selling the CTR or Ultimate Edition knob.

Thanks for the reply! I messaged hardtop guy so I will find out which one he carries. I found some other information that says the CTR knob sits 7mm lower than the CR Knob?

I originally bought an "authentic" CTR knob off an eBay ad which pictured an authentic knob and authentic Honda box with the correct part number on it. When it arrived the box was clearly a forgery and the quality of the knob was horrible. Just beware if you go the eBay route.

Fake on left, real on right.

I have both the CTR and CR knobs and the only difference besides the paint color is that ridge around the bottom on the CTR knob that makes it harder to secure with a locking nut, and makes the knob sit about 1-2 mm higher than the CR knob.
