Default Cusco type 2 or x-brace

Hi everyone , thanks for reading

I have both bars in hand. Cusco type 2 and one x brace. Im wondering witch one i should put on the car. I do track the car and since they have diferent shape and diferent anchor point i imagine they have diferent purpose.

Any advice , experience or comment ???

I have an x brace and it sits really low and I've scraped it going on inclines. I haven't tried it on the track yet but I did notice that driving on the street the front felt stiffer. The Cusco should have more clearance. Why don't you try them each and report back a review?

X-brace should, in theory, protect your oil pan better.

Thats about all it will do. I know it has been brought up before but the car is plenty stiff from the factory. You can get 3 wheels off the ground by jacking it up from a single point. I highly doubt those braces are going to prevent much flexing as there hardly is any.

Sure in an extreme setting of a dedicated race car, knock yourself out.

Honda used the U shaped Cusco on their S2000 modded show S2k a few years ago. I noticed because that's the one I have---there are a lot of posts about whether they (or the X brace) add any stiffness --- I think it feels stiffer to me but others may not agree...

I'm actually running both(replica's). I put them both on at the same time but I felt a for sure difference...no placebo. The front is more responsive and more rigid. My AP1 has 118k on it though so that might be part of why I felt the difference.

It depends on the x-brace. I'm running replica Cusco type 2 and replica Comptech x-braces.
