Default Custom Exhaust

Like the title says, I'm about to pull the trigger on a custom exhaust system. My original plans were to have the mufflers cut off from the Y back. And replace them with a better Y pipe, and 2 mufflers. I've decided on the Megan Racing M-OE mufflers. But I'm starting to wonder if I should go dual, or just single.
Besides the cost benefits, are there any real reasons to go single over dual in this application? I assume the single will be louder?

A single is the only way to go. Unless you bought a performance car for looks.

going from a dual exhaust to a single will result in people stop questioning about if your s2k has a v6 or a v8...

by going single you will also have an annoying open hole that will make you look like a ricer unless you get the hole filled or a new bumper altogether.

Just stick with a true dual

Actually.... Yes,and no not scooter mufflers but sport bike mufflers so the joke is on you.

Why would Shigeru Uehara keep the dual exhaust on the last iteration of the s2000?
