Default Daily Driver suspension setup

Hey there,

I've doing some research on S2000 suspension set-ups and there is a ton of information in past threads, but just not sure if there is a lot of misinformation or not.

Let me know if I am on the right track:

- Espelir seems to be the most recommended spring to drop 1.50"-1.75"

- Swift and Eibach seem to be the most recommended spring to drop 1.00"

- K3 V3 and Bilstein PSS9 seem to be the most recommended coilovers for an adjustable drop.

- K3 V3 is a good choice for track, but a harsher overall ride.

- Bilstein PSS9 is a good choice for DD, with a more comfortable ride.

Am I heading in the right direction?

One thing you are missing is that all the springs are designed around the AP1 philosophy of a higher spring rate rear spring. This means they maintain the tail happy nature of the AP1. It also means that if you put one of those springs on an AP2, the damping is going to be significantly mismatched.

so whats wrong with the current suspension that you want to change?

I purchased a set of konis and springs but ended up selling them again because I decided the stock suspension was really really good and perfect for DD

Well, answer this: what are you unhappy about regarding your stock suspension? Then we can help you change it.

Coilovers are overkill if you want a drop for cosmetic reasons. Just get lowering springs and have money left over for other mods.

I love my PSS9s. The ride is MUCH smoother than stock, and the car handles beautifully.
