different factory Hids
if all factory hids are 4300,...why are range rover and bmw lights soooo much brighter,...from the driver stand point as well as to the oncoming driver? if we just aim the lights on the s2k up will we have more light output and color??......or do we have to switch projectors?
a great light output is make up of a good light source and a good projection pattern(usually projector for hid)
you squeeze in the sun but it will not help if you have a poor projection of the light.
i don't really think our light pattern sucks for highway/local use, the rover might have more coverage to the side(perhaps to design for the all terrain nature of the car?) like a fog light?

^I agree. S2k sits really low and our HIDs are angled down. When you see an oncoming Rover, it's always bright shiny and beautiful (at least for me) because they sits high. If you turn on your HID in your s2k, walk out of the car, look at the HID from lower position you'll see ours is really bright too.
No, the ballast doesn't need to change.
FYI: 4300k is the most brightest light available. If you change the light to a 10K (Purple spectrum) you WILL lose visibility.
1 more thing, you can't enjoy a color change in the head lights, everyone driving around you at night will be like "cool purple", but you will just be straining to see what's ahead .
