bump from the dead, reading about the latch rattle fixes, I found this to be the best of all time.

Hi mate anywhere there are hinge parts predominately the hinge where the latches open and close. Lmk if you still need the pics. It's a very simple mod.

Here ya go, first pic is on the inner side of the hinge, and second the outside. You can see the inner knot and the outer is a tight knot as well. Do both sides..fishing line acts as a nylon washer and tightens the space.

thanks! did you just tie the knot after you wrapped it few (once?) times?

is this an issue with hardtop strikers as well?

wrapped only once then tied one knot, you can tell that it won't come undone easily.
I did both soft top and HT front latches.

Ha, Robin you're like everywhere with good mods and knowledge. I didn't understand what the original poster was trying to "do" but with your picture I now see what he was talking about. I'm more of a visual person.
