I don't think that will work as well with an FIPK as you think.

I run one(AUT version, same thing) with mine and swear 4th gear has got some more balls to it; 75+ mph. Wish I had a way to datalog, so I could verify this.

If you purchase this, make sure you cut or remove the OEM radiator shrouding. The plate would be pointless with it still in place.

Considering that the K&B Fipk seals with the hood BEFORE that hump, I can tell you that this would do essentially nothing. You're better off buying a regular cooling plate and saving the excess $

i have seen the setup with the fipk and that type of cooling plate, the front of the fipk is open. im not sure why you think its sealed off. thanks for the responses but does anyone know if someone makes it in kevlar? i have a spoon kevlar plug cover and i would like some matching kevlar under the hood. if none makes that kind then ill probably just end up going with the pwjdm cooling plate even though it doesnt have the hump to allow air through :/

Looks like it would allow some more fresh air into it, seems like a good idea to me. Also, i'm pretty sure there is no kevlar panel like this, just carbon. There are tons of pics of people that have this combo, just search "fipk AUT cooling"

Not my car, just 1 pic to show how it looks.

removing that plate is a bad idea. it is in place to force air through the radiator, if you have this panel removed, air will follow the path of least resistance and flow OVER your radiator.

That is why they make cooling plates which still block off most of this area yet allow some air to pass through up to the intake.
