Default does it drone or not ?!

I'm in the market for an exhaust and while doing my research, I noticed the reveiws or feedbacks on any exhaust can be very different....

one thing in common is the loudness
if the XX exhaust is loud, then pretty much everyone would agree it's loud

but does xx exhaust drones??

I think more people include myself concern if the exhaust drones than it's loud when choosing an exhaust

but how do people "define" drones ??
if xx exhaust drones, then how come someone would calim it's zepo drones?
or when a vendor claim yy exhaust doesn't drone at all
some owners would wirte some feedbacks say it drones but not too bad

how you guys define drones ? or how do you measure drone ?

About 1/3 of the way into this video is a great demonstration of what "drone is.

Drone Demo

I have an invidia V4 on my car and although not drone free, it is no where near the level or duation of this demo. It's very tolerable.

In my opinion the V4 does not drone any more than the stock exhaust at highway speeds. You can't really hear it at speed unless you put your foot to the floor or completely take your foot off the gas, then all you hear is a sweet sound.

drone to me is that bass tone the exhaust gets at low RPM's and when decelerating.

isn't the base tone pretty much exist on every after market exhaust?

I'd think drone is the sound that "full filled" inside the car with lots echo
and cause headache and sick feeling

but loud is just loud

yup, drone is that awful resonance that gets inside your head and makes it want to explode.
