Default Does the titanium shift knob fit the 2002?

About half of the Honda parts sites say the Titanium shift knob, part #08U92-S2A-100, only fits 2006 and newer.

One site says it fits 2003 and newer.

Does it fit a 2002?

All Honda use same thread size and pitch. So any knob for any Honda fits any other Honda.

I have my old Civic EX shift knob on my '90 Miata - I wonder how many Japanese makes use the same thread for their shift knobs.
