Saw the Al RSX shift knob on HandA and thought about buying one for my 2002 S. Just wanted to know if it fit. Thanks.

P.S. Is there a difference between the threads on shift knobs from AP1 to AP2? The reason I ask is because on the HandA website the Ti knobs are year specific.

 

yes it will fit.

 

No knob is year specific, they are all interchangable. The RSX knob (along with most if not all Honda/Acura knobs) will fit. I'm personally using a countersunk RSX knob.

 

rsx knob will fit, but there's a bottom clip, w/o it would look like shit

 

Why not find an 00-01 model owner and offer to do a straight swap of your leather wrapped knob for their all aluminum one?

 

The RSX knob does in fact clip onto a plastic extention. Now, if you are talking about the upgraded shift knob, it is basically the same as the stock S2000 but without the leather wrapping (very similar to I believe 00-01 S2000s.

It's funny... when I owned my RSX everyone wanted to get an S2000 shift knob

 

Yeah, I want the all aluminum one. Thanks for the help I have seen the ebay generic knobs and just don't trust the quality or the pictures, would rather get one I could see in person or just buy from HandA.

 

if your interested in a 01 ap1 shift knob (basically same as RSX) ill trade you for your leather wrapped one. let me know
