Hope I'm not hijacking the thread as my experience seems relevant here. The prop shaft on my MY00 failed on an out of state track event last fall and it was really hard to find a source that could ship on short notice. The drive train is stock. Car had around 90k miles and close to 50 track days then. Interesting to see in this thread that it's not especially prone to failure, but nonetheless, the front CV joint was noisy and loose enough that I didn't think it would hold together the 1000 miles to get home. Unfortunately the only one I could find had nearly as many miles. (Cost $300 to overnight it too). So I still need to do something before I go out of state again. Is the consensus here that I was just unlucky and a used replacement should be reliable?
