DOT-compliant Schroth 4pt harness
I've installed the Hard Dog roll bar and will be putting in a seat (hopefully can get the Sparco Evo2 Plus to fit). It's now time for the harness. Since I still drive my '05 S2k on the street, I'd prefer something DOT-compliant that gives me the protection of a 4pt harness for the track. The Schroth Profi II ASM FE 4pt is DOT-compliant, but I'm looking for feedback on how it is at the track. Any experience or perspective?

Personally, I would run a 5-point versus a 4-point based on what I've read on track forums around safety.
Did you get the OEM seat belt accessory thing with your hard dog bar? OEM 3 point for the street seems most practical.

chuhsi, I got the Hard Dog bracket and have the OEM belt installed for my stock seat, but am looking for more secure belting then an OEM 3pt belt can give. One option I have is to relocate the retractor and cut down part of the bulkhead to allow a track-day harness to be installed without rubbing, but I'm looking first at the DOT-compliant harness options.
GinoGT, is your Profi II-6 DOT compliant? I still drive mine more then just to the track (at least for now), that's why I'm looking at what it takes to remain DOT compliant. I know I always have the option of skirting the DOT requirements (and would not be more at risk in a wreck), I'm just trying to understand what both compliance and secure belting looks like before I drop 2 small on a harness.

The only thing that makes them DOT-compliant is having a red push-button release mechanism.
Don't bother with the harness on the street. Keep the OEM belts for the street, then swap in a proper 6-point for the track. Best of both worlds.
