eBay AP1 Replica Lips
I'm lowered, living downtown. My lip wont last long.
I don't feel like spending $350+ on an OEM lip.
I hear these OEM replicas actually fit well.
Wondering if any of you have tried them. And if so, what were your experiences? Fitment? Pictures? Recommend?
They range from $75-115 shipped (unpainted). Will probably buy with another local to save on painting (friend's shop) and shipping.
Thanks.

It took a lot more $$$ to fit it and paint it when I went with one. The fitment was about a 2/10 and the material had many small pits that needed to be filled. Save the headache and get an OEM lip.
I am a owner of a oem replica lip. I have pics all over the site. I am sure you can find my S, lol. All of this is my honest opinion.
I didnt want to pay all that money for a OEM because you are going to jack it up anyway. So i went the path you are thinking of going.
Fitment: I never owned a OEM lip btw. I will say the fitment was ok. It didnt use the oem hardware so i just ghetto rigged it on.
Looks: I own a BB so color is not a problem and blended nicely. Honestly who cars? I get thumbs up everytime someone sees my S even with club members. They never ask if I have a replica, I guess they would if it looked sh*tty right? They don't bend down and inspect if it is real or a knock off.
Overall, only you know it is a replica and only you know your defects of your car. To me spending over 350 to get a lip damaged and resprayed is not worth it to me. I am dumped so I have no choice to accept that.

Another consideration is that the replicas often need modification to fit correctly. What's your time worth? The OEM one will fit perfectly every time.
And OEM includes the correct hardware, not the shitty double-sided tape.

I had one shipped for around $35 and I got exactly what I payed for! It fits ok but looks better than the scratched bumper!!! My car is BB so I didn't paint it. I would buy an OEM lip/AP2 bumper if and when I do anything else.
I never have to use double sided tape and I take of my bumper on a consistant basis when i had to before. In order to do that you would need to uninstall the lip. I slip it on and off with ease. Maybe I got lucky and got a good one out of all the bad ones that people seem to knock on.
