Default eBay red H badges

When I bought my car a few months ago it came with the black (not to be confused with Black Chrome) emblems on it. They looked really old, the black color was faded out, and I just wanted the red emblems.

So, I went ahead and purchased some red ones from ebay for $12. Now I know you get what you pay for but I just couldn't justify $80 for the OE Honda ones. Well, about a month and a half has gone by and my new red emblems have gone to shit. The trunk is still in good shape. However, the front bumper is faded out to a light pink, water leaks in to it when I wash the car or if it sits in the rain.

Has any one else bought these badges from ebay for this cheap. I don't really want to spend the $80 for the OE Honda ones, but I also don't want to have to continually replace the cheap ones.

Any suggestions?

Just buy the OE ones... Just think of how much it will cost you to keep buying and replacing the cheap ones, not to mention the hassle. Get the legit ones and you wont have to worry about it anymore

Get the OEM ones. I went through the same process as you... Biggest bitch was that water gets into them.

Ebay knock offs are a huge waste. The OEM ones are def more expensive, but WAAAAAY worth it.

i just took my original badges, and sanded the fake chrome of them with a fine grit sand paper, primered, painted, and clear coated them with krylon spray paint (lots of clear coat) and mine didnt fade a bit last summer... might wanna try that way if you dont wanna spend the bucks for the OEM ones

you have a car that originally stickered in the mid 30 thousands.

go stock, or mod right (which either takes time, money or both). don't half ass it.

I just got my OE red badges from Hardtopguy. I really like them....pictures dont do much justice for the badges. When mine came in, I was surprised by how much depth the emblems had. I posted a few pictures in the gallery.
