Emanage Ultimate software and cable?
Can someone fill me in? I'm so confused.
I just bought a used Greddy Emanage Ultimate, and it didn't come with the software or a cable to connect it to a laptop...
I've been trying to search and I keep seeing where you have to buy this really expensive cable, but you can make one yourself... but all this was from awhile back, so I don't know how up to date it is...
Then I was looking for the software and I'm seeing lots of different versions and some say they're for the Blue version... is that the same? And what is the current software version?
Can someone direct me to the proper place to download the software (and tell me which one is right) and instruct me how to get/make a cable (preferably for cheap)?
Thanks,
-Will

did you buy it new or used?
you don't need the software on a cd. you can download the latest version from the greddy website. just through it on a flash drive or something. and you only want e-manage ultimate software....blue is a less model and absolute junk for the s2000.
as for the cable; i don't know what to say. you can call greddy. they're support is always good. but any good tuner that's worked with the em-u will probably have the necessary cabling to connect laptop to the em-u so call your tuner shops too. it's quite possible they will have the latest version of the software as well. mine did.

As mentioned in the original post, I bought it USED. I tried looking on the greddy site and found not much of anything.
Yeah, I'm sure a tuner would probably have the stuff, but I was just wanting to throw a base map on it for right now.

Yeah, give Greddy a call and say you bought it NEW, but lost the software. The will not give you the time of day if you bought it used. For the cable, it's a pretty standard cable that you can get at some computer store or Staples or something like that. You want a USB to USB B cable. Check out this pic for reference...http://cableorganizer.com/usb-firewire-quickconnect/ It's the 2nd one from the left I believe.

Do know for sure about the cable? I heard those didn't work, and the ones from Greddy were special...

If it fits it should work, right? Bring it in with you, but visually they look the same to me. And what do you mean by special?...short yellow school bus special? Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Lol, no idea... just thought I had read that somewhere, but they could have been referring to something different, or just been completely wrong.

Emanage Blue required a special cable, EMU is just a USB. Only thing you can get from the Greddy web site is the firmware update. You can get the software for to work with the maps here though http://revspec.com/Ultimate.htm
You sir are a lifesaver. I wish there was a rep function on this forum.
