Default Which EMS is best for N/A non DBW tuning?

I did a quick search.. I'm not saying that I didn't find anything..

But I didn't really find what i was looking for.. So here's the question and I'd like some opinions..

Which ECU/EMS do y'all think is the best bang for buck for a MY 05 (non dbw) with bolt ons??

Thanks in advance!!

As long as they do the same thing, it's the same thing. Consult with your local tuner(s) to see what they prefer and work with that.

Ask your tuner what he prefers.

Yeah that's what I did..

I just figured I'd ask because I see a lot of people run the AEM.. But asking the tuner was probably the best bet from the get go..

If you don't need obdII go with aem ems.

i dont like the start up loop that aem runs..

takes more cranks to start.. im leaning towards the haltech since my tuner recommended it.. and it works in sync with the oem ecu and leave the start up and all that up to the stock ecu..

or at least thats what i got from what i read..

Since your tuner seems safe working with Haltech, thats what I would do. You're also right, it keeps the OEM ECU in place so you won't have start up problems, ect.. I would much rather do that than replacing it.

yeah that turned me off when i found that out about the aem ems..

one of my friends has a fully built 930whp supra with the aem ems and everytime he goes to start the car it takes like 10 cranks and i hate that..

sometimes i wonder if his car wont start lol.. i would never want that for my car..

i never realized it was the aem until i read people on here with them are running into the same issue..

Haltech is a good company, so it sounds like something worth investigating. I believe EvansTuning was working on a Haltech unit? You might wanna check that out

Might be perfect, especially if that's what your tuner suggested
