Default Engine Torque Dampener against...

As title says,

altho i have searched i couldnt find a straightforward answer and more importantly an updated answer (most recent topic/post on the matter was back in 2007).

I am after an Ingalls (stiffy) Engine Torque Dampener but i already have a RE-Works Front Strut Bar and i was wondering whether i would have a problem with re-fitting my Strut Bar after have fitted the Dampener. ( i know the dampener goes to the other side buts its the only pic i have of my engine bay that shows the strut bar and how it mounts)

They do use the same bolts to mount on and common sense tell us that after fitting the dampener, the Strut bar would have a lift of 2mm-3mm from the left side. Shouldnt this be a problem?

Anyone using a combo of Front Strut Bar + Engine Torque Dampener without any mods on the bracket?

(should i post this on the Racing Forum )

Thanks a lot in advance guys
Kostas

you can pretty much set the damper to your preference and take the "strut" bar off the car.

weight saving > non existence stiffening

puddymod sells a special bracket which bolts under the fuse box near the strut to be able to have your torque damper and your strut bar

I can always remove my front strut bar but thats is not what i am looking for. Also, its not that heavy.

Thanks,
Kostas.

You can run the damper bracket, and then the strut bar on on top of it with no problem.

this is off topic but what are those blue hoses going to? what are the functions? i know that on stock cars, the hoses from intake manifold goes straight to the engine. but on the picture, its going to a navy blue can and then back to the engine. can someone explain to me what that does? =)

Is that a setup you currently have or have used before?

Why is that , do you reckon its a daft question to ask?

Oil Catch Can

Its basicaly a can that takes the hose from the PCV Valve and returns it to the intake manifold.
It keeps oil away from the intake resulting to excessive smoke from the exhaust.
That is mostly noticed in hard right turns where the engine design isnt quite helping.

Cmon guys, shed some light please. I thought that you, out of all countries, should know best.

I am pretty sure i am not sounding like an imbecile here. Its not like i am asking about how to refuel my car.

I am pretty sure that someone should be running this setup by now.

Cheers,
Kostas.

i don't know what daft is....but if it means " a question i will get attacked for asking in the racing forum because it has no relevent racing benefit or add any function to the car" then yes....it's a daft question.

they don't play nicely over there if it isn't legitimate to racing in any way.
