Default ETD

So I have read a couple thing on ETD here and I'm wodering if they really help at all and at what??

I have also read that you need to bend your A/C line, how hard is this and in what direction? I'm figuring you probably just pull it up. I was looking at the 3 peice kit on Evasive.

I have the NRG one, Doesn't make much of a differnece. Would probably help more if your engine mounts are worn. I wouldn't waste the money on the J's, but that's just me. The hardest part with the NRG is drilling a hole in your OEM heat sheild.

Do these help at all with the initial engine/tranny shake at start up and shut down?

there are plenty of people who've owned it and claimed it's a total waste of money. did you even try searching?

And then there's plenty of people who swear by it.

Who knows!

yes. i had an ETD before i was supercharged and absolutely loved it. you can tell a huge difference. but that depends on how in tune you are with your car. if you notice every little detail and the car is truly an extension of your body while you're driving, you'll love it. if you don't really know much about how the car works or if you're not really in tune with it, you might not notice the difference. the one thing i loved most was the crisp feel of making a fast shift then gunning it right off the clutch. but if you're expecting an instant fix for vibrations/rattles then this is not going to do that. it just kind of changes the pitch of the vibrations/rattles. after all, it isn't cushioning the internals of the transmission/engine, it's just bracing the exterior to take up any slack. also you won't notice any difference unless you use a long lever to push the engine and while it's being held, tighten the ETD to the most extreme setting. i'm not quite sure if there are long-term repercussions for this, but the results are definitely more pronounced if you do this.
