^maybe try a test pipe if you don't have one. That is what I'm going to do for mine. I've got the t1r 70em and it drones really bad with the top up too. I've seen lots of posts saying a testpipe will help get rid of some of the drone. Yeah it'll make the exhaust a little louder but I'd rather have that and no drone.
I agree that the testpipe helps a LOT. I've been driving around with no drone at all with the testpipe for about half a year until I put on my cat because I was driving back to California. I nearly got deaf from the droning without a testpipe. Then I put my testpipe back on and no more droning at all. It really is the testpipe.

Drone to me = Cabin pressure (sound resonance/loud hmming) when flat on the gas, not noise when accelerating/decelerating

A test pipe helped my single exhaust but as some have mentioned it did make it louder. then again I have the invidia single so theres really not much you can do for it. I like it though and dont find it that bad

I use to have that T1R setup with the T1R test pipe & it drone all the time even when the car is off(LIES). hahaha... I swapped it out for the HKS Hi-Power. MUCH better sounding now,. It was VERY loud with the T1R.

I'm still going to wait and get a test pipe to see the results. If it is still that bad I'll just go back to stock. It's not worth it to me to put a dual on there. Half of the reason I did the single was for weight savings. I don't even like the look of any of the dual exhausts so it'll be the single I've got or back to stock.

To be honest a test pipe won't help that much, I am not sure why everyone thinks a test pipe lessens drone that much, it is hardly noticeable at best, and WILL make the car louder. The only way to really eliminate drone is to add something to TAKE that resonance away, and a straight pipe hardly does so lol.

Like I mentioned, take a look at Vibrant Ultra-Quiet resonators.

Alot of the Invidia owners run them to take away much of the drone, which we all know is terrible with those systems. I know because I had one. They help QUITE a bit.

Swapped for a low mileage stock exhuast just a couple hours ago. She purrs like a kitten now and I can actually hear myself think. Don't get me wrong, the T1R sounds sweet above 6000rpm but it was overbearing for highway cruising.

I can see myself trying another aftermarket exhaust to get some growl but I'm going to listen to some other S2000's around town first to see/hear what I like.

I have the test pipe and it does not make a difference. I am also boosted and I drove that thing first day over in San Rafael and though I was going to have to see a doctor. I bit the bullet and put the silencer in the muffler and it cut the sound about 50 percent and the drone about 20 percent. I think when I get some money i am going to try the vibrant resonator. I spent too much money on this exhaust to start cutting. HC

Oh the silencer was a 20 hp difference on the dyno. I cut holes in the inside tube of the silencer, I don't know if that helped maybe 15hp difference or 10hp difference but its better than thinking I am going crazy with the top up at 3-4k rpm
