Default Exhaust help

I love my Invidia. Always have. For the money, you won't find a higher quality exhaust. Oh, and the sound, my God the sound! LOUD, aggressive and sweet. The look has always been my favorite. Angled canisters, slightly tilted. 4-wheeled CBR. But, alas, my ears are bleeding after all this time and I'm ready for a change. I would like something that still looks aggressive, but is maybe half as loud with little to no drone. Also, I don't want any power loss over stock. I could spend about $700 to 800. I have owned my s since new, but have been out of the mod game for a couple of years, not sure which way to go. Any ideas?

you could cut the resonator in your invidia system and weld in a quite muffler instead! keeps it cheap and doesn't change the look of your exhaust at all. the other thing you could do is cut the mufflers and weld in new ones. why spend $700 when you have a good system. just cut some pipe and install something a little bit quiter. you have a stainless system already with good flow and nice bends. keep it and modify.

Not a bad idea, but I just not have the time to take on that kind of project. I was looking for a bolt up and go kind of solution.

well that's just my suggestion. i really mean to go to a exhaust shop, have them cut off the resonator or mufflers and then just hang something up in it's place till you find something you like and have them weld it up. of course you'd need a shop that had a bunch of stuff and are willing to do it.
just another though

Go with the invidia q300. I read all the hype about it and finally installed mine yesterday and WOW it's def. worth all the hype. Nice and mellow tone during cruising but will get loud when you want it to. And its 70mm!

whoever says the q300 isnt loud is smoking crack

its freaking LOUD when doing anything but cruising at a constant speed

I also vote visit your local speed shop, get a LONG straight through resonator welded in, replace the cannon at the back with an actual muffler and you will be all set.

not only will you save some cash, you will meet some cool people at the shop, and support the local modding community.
