Default exhaust question

hey guys.i have little knowledge about cars so im gonna go to you guys..

i recently found a single HKS exhaust that some guy is gonna sell to me for 80 bucks..cheap right?? well the only problem i have is that it came off his SCION TC..and its not universal..its the one for scion tc..

my only question is will that exhaust will be able to fit on my AP2?? not the exhaust system..but just the exhaust tip..as in the muffler..becuz he put his stock one back on

ive asked around and others have said any exhaust will fit on any car..its just the piping that needs to be modified...i need to make certain if it will or not

so what is your guys's answer?will it fit on mine??

thanks for your guys's help
shout out to all the s2k owners our there.

Well if you cut the HKS muffler off and ditch the pipes, you could have it custom welded just like any muffler onto the OEM midpipe. Simple as that! Just take it to a muffler shop and they can easily do it for you.

For a little different sound. On this same section a guy replaced his dual ones with magnaflows and it isnt ghetto or ricey. Also some people do this b/c they want an inexpensive single but doesnt want it super loud. Same thing as buying a 60mm single, just cheaper and quieter than most.

well since i am going from dual to single, im eventually gonna have to use custom piping right??so i dont mind paying the extra cost for custom installation.

and suzuka blue you got it..i DO want a different sound..but not too loud..and not too expensive..i mean..its an HKS exhaust..and only 80 bucks??no problems with it what so ever..why not jump on the deal right??

the concept may sound ghetto and ricey..but the car itself isnt gonna sound ghetto and ricey after i install it

also..some guy said i might lose performance becuz its not made specifically for my car...but ive researched and alot of people say exhausts dont make a BIG performance increase anyways.just from what ive read.

Okay, whoever is talking to you about alot of this stuff, doesnt seem to know what they are talking about. An exhaust on an s2000 isnt going to make much power. If you have a 60mm, there will most likely be no performance gain, and yes some say it can loser power, but not one person yet has proven that. An HKS muffler, is just an HKS muffler, it has nothing to do with what type of car its for. The piping and that sort of thing is what's specific for the car. Also, contact D-Loke on here, he made a single from the OEM piping and a universal muffler. You will just have to cut the exhaust where the split in the exhaust is, then weld a pipe from there to the muffler. This way you can also angle it and have it sticking out of the bumper perfectly how you want it. To an exhaust shop, this is no big deal. Just get the exhaust, take it to the shop and say you what you want done, and they will do it for you. Just specify how you want it, and they should also tac weld it on and ask you if you like it before they actually weld it on completely.

No problem bro. Your getting a great deal on that exhaust too. Look how much they are on ebay for the TC's. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HKS-HI-Powe...sQ5fAccessories
