Default Exhaust setup thoughts

Hi guys,

Just wanted an opinion on the exhaust setup I'm thinking about:

T1R 70-EM Sparrow dual

Berk HFC 70mm

Tossing up between the Hytech N/A header and the toda torquie-kun header.

Planning to supercharge in about a year or two, so just curious of this selection of parts could a reduction in performance when i do get an S/C.

Also curious if anyone has run into fitment issues with these parts or any combination of them.

Thanks

I voted for the toda. Those three items would make a really nice exhaust setup. A lot of people will tell you to go testpipe for the best power (which is true) but a hfc or a resonated testpipe will help keep the sound down without sacrificing much power. It will be a good setup to support a supercharger.

I'm very happy with my Toda Torquie Kun header. Currently have it bolted up to a Berk 70mm HFC and a Tracy Sports 60-70mm single. I also had/have a GReddy SE 70mm dual, similar to your T1R, but I found for my taste it was a little loud. I let a friend borrow the GReddy without the I/H/HFC and it's a bit quieter. I found by adding the header and HFC it changed the tone of the exhaust and made it a bit louder if that matters to you.

See my sig for what I'm running. I love the sound of my exhaust more than any other I've heard. It may be a bit loud if you havent added any sound deadening material, but I would recommend doing that before adding any exhaust. If performance is what you are after, don't even bother with NA mods. Just save your $$ for FI

Except header/hfc/exhaust will help give power with a supercharger. So they are fine to buy prior. I agree though, don't expect massive gains. The setup should free up some midrange power with a tune.

Yea I'm expecting something around the low 160rwkw mark with an intake and tune as well.

Any of you guys run into any major fitment problems with these parts?

T1R 70 EM dual required me to do some minor tweaking to get both tips to be centered. I will say that the welds are quality, and the metal is high grade, because doing some bending to the hangers without the right tools was quite a task. The T1R header had some fitment issues (the guys at boost logic suggested that the welded the parts together without it being mounted to the jig causing a slight warping in the mounting surface due to heat) but AJR/Evasive worked together to hook me up with an extra thick header gasket to seal any possible exhaust leaks. I can only speak for T1R parts- fitment is not OEM for their parts.. or maybe I just had bad luck. If I could do it all over again I'd still go with the T1R 70EM dual just for the sound.
