Default Exhaust silencers all the same?

Hey guys,

I recently bought an Espelir exhaust (used) and it didn't come with silencers. Now, I don't mind the sound at all, but my girlfriend gets annoyed at longer trips. I found the Espelir silencers for $80.00, but I've heard that they are all pretty much the same.

Any thoughts?

Just make sure whatever you get has the same size inlet pipe diameter, tip diameter, and mounting point as the Espelir.

i'm not familiar with how the espelir exhausts are now, but back when they first came out, my friend had it on his civic. I remember the silencer being able to mount w/o nuts/bolts. does the tip of your exhaust have a hole for a bolt?

Does having a silencer on sacrifice any performance?

you will get a noticeable drop in power/response. i wouldn't buy silencers, though. just find someone local willing to let you have them or sell them for cheap.

Yeah, it's got the mounting bolts. I just wasn't sure if one brand was better for another. They all look the same to me.
