anyone ever made extended top hats for their shocks?

Just curious if anyone has any stories regarding it.

I know ground control makes them. They are pretty easy to make if you can weld. I could see them being too tall in the trunk. But it might work. I am sure someone has tried them by now.

most of the problem can be solved by not overlowering the car

Except it doesn't. If you lower the car .5", you lose .5" of shock travel...

and since I just lowered with eibach and lost an 1" of travel, and I had some extended top hats laying around, was thinking of trying it...

Sweet, thanks...

Buy some coilovers with a ajustible lower mount. I have lowered my car over 2 inches with my tein flex coilovers with out lossing any travel.

Saw the thread on the top hats and they look pretty good. I tried looking on GC's website for them but couldn't find anything. Does anyone know where we can pick these up?
