Default F20c computer on f22

I'm getting an engine dropped in at a normal auto repair place, i was wondering if the F20 c computer will run the f22c well enough to drive it to a dyno shop where i can get an ems installed.

The car wont start unless its the same ECU already in your car. Our keys are chipped so you need to have the ECU reprogrammed with the key that you have now by the dealer for it to even turn on if its a different ECU. But assuming its the same then youll be fine.

If you're using the ECU which is currently installed in your car (ie: already programmed for your keys), then you're fine.

as stated, the problem lies with the keys. if everything matches though, you'll be fine.. and you'll be able to rev to 9k

Yes it will work as the people above mentioned. Just wanted to add that you will mess up your motor if you keep it reving to 9K long enough.

Hes getting an AEM EMS installed. There is no 9k chip. The highest recommended redline for the 2.2 is around 8500.

I'ts the same ECU that came with the car , I forgot about the chips in the keys, At one point I was considering an ap2 computer, that would have been bad, Thanks!.
I do have dual valve springs which are supposed to be good till 10k in the engine so I don't think I'll float a valve at 9 and trash my engine, but I'm not gonna test it out, I'll probably set it to 8.5 when I tune it.
I was mostly worried about timing and fuel differences
Thanks for the help!

Even if you could rev that high you wouldnt make much power past 8300 or 8500ish with stock internals. I think 8500 or 8600 would be a good redline. Test it on the dyno though, since im sure you have dyno time scheduled with installation of the EMS.
