Default F22 and f20 engine difference

ive been searching around but i dont seem to find the answer..

are f22 and f20 engines identical while looking at it?
or is there specifics difference when ur trying to distinguish them too.

the reason y im curious is because the previous owner claims theres a ap2 engine in there. when i look at the engine it looks exactly like the ap1 engine. the only differance i see is the gold piece on the top but that piece can be replaced at anytime.
does anyone know or have any pictures that will tell the difference.?

It's not the only weigh but it's definitely the most reliable way.

the motor has f20 / f22 stamped on the block (depending on which one it is). That stamp is near the intake manifold where the head and block meet. The only markings on the head that I know of is the vin. Best way would be to check both.

Just like dc2 said. If you are looking at your engine, the stamp should be in the front right where the head n block meet, I'll post a pic of my f22 ap1 later tonight

How can you tell the rev limiter and bore/stroke by LOOKING at the engine

Doesn't help the OP, but the rev limiter and fuel cut are the same thing. On the AP1, it is 8900 RPMs, and on the AP2 is it 8200 RPMs.
