F22c cams in a F20C
Has anyone done this? Can it just be installed or must the valves and retainers also be done? What power and torque gains are made?

no power gains will be made. the f20 cams will make power in a f22 so theoretically you will lose power by putting f22 cams in a f20. The f20 cams have a more aggressive lobe. but if you are set on doing it than the answer to your question would be no the retainers and valves do not need to be swapped- it is just a bolt up affair.

What a lot of people have done is put an ap2 exhaust cam into their ap1, and the ap2 guys put an ap1 intake cam in their ap2. Supposedly the best combination on the f20 or f22 is an ap1 intake cam, and ap2 exhaust cam. I almost did this since there was a lot of talk about how it will give you gains, but after tons of research there is such a small difference it isn't even worth doing the swap. I would save your money but if you decided you want to do it, you can use your stock valves, springs, retainers, ect..

Thanks huys. I just read somewhere, someone replied that it gained power but I had to make sure on s2ki. There's no point doing it then
