Default first mods

so, since i'm up this early, after waking up from having food coma after xmas dinner (-__-), i've decided to make my time useful and look up for some parts. i got some extra cash for the holidays so i'm thinking about ordering my parts right now. maybe i'll wait until i get a little bit of feedback before i order. alright so here's the deal...

first thing i plan on doing is lowering my car and possibly working on my suspension. not planning on tracking anytime soon (just want to kill the gap), so i'm definitely going with springs and going tie rods, struts, and sway bar crazy. anyways, here's the link to the springs from the evasive website. they say these springs work really well with the stock shocks.

also, thinking about getting these along with the springs...

and one last item...

so, i'm open to any input or suggestions about these deals. are they good? overpriced? i've never really ordered from evasive before, but i hear it's a very good place to purchase some parts... i don't know. you tell me.

the springs i can understand, the spacers are going for $159 (t1r instead of j's racing @ $249), and damn that's an expensive strut tower brace ($674). i'd shop around a little more and see what other comparable products are out there...

Save your money. Chances are you aren't a good enough driver to utilize fully the stock suspension.

Merry Christmas!!

You don't have to get spacers. If you get the vibration that is common with lowering an s2k with a few miles on it, then you can swap the inner cv buckets from left to right and vis versa. If you feel you really must have the spacers, make sure you get the 2-piece style rather than the 1-piece...it takes as much work to install 1-piece spacers as it does to swap cv buckets.

The exact same strut bar is available from s2xx for under $200. I have one...it's a great hand hold when working on the motor and does transmit some vibration to the steering rack from the shock tower to give some more steering feel. But don't expect a huge change in handling.

BTW...not sure what tie rods you would want to get...not really needed on this car. And you really only need a front sway bar. If you want to induce some more oversteer, you can pick up an AP1 rear swaybar, but that's about all you need.

They definitely carry an excellent selection but prices are more than others.

Here are the same espelir ASDs...which have an excellent drop IMO.

Also, as for the spacers and strut bar. The spacers are pretty debated as to if they are needed or not. And if you must get spacers just go with the T1r Race Spec ones to save you some dough.
T1R Spacers

Also, search s2x strut bar here...he's a sponser and carries the same ASM design strut bar, but at 1/3 of the price.

GL with your Mods.

EDIT: Found the S2X Bars:
