Tires like mentioned before if it doesnt have good ones already. A good engine and transmission oil change. If you do not go the turbo route, a higher geared differential will make the car more fun to drive and help with the lacking in low end torque in street commuting.I personally am using a 4.44 and it definitely makes the car feel faster. If you happen to have to change the clutch soon,a lightweight flywheel makes a big difference.

But most importantly like mentioned above, get a good feel for the car an the way it handles first.

If you have access to a close track, some hpde time will definitely make YOU faster rather than your S. Otherwise, Ap1 flywheel and increased final drive will be your best non-FI mods. Otherwise, the best hp/$ is with FI.

This plus decent tires are the first mods.

The car is likely faster than you at this point and it takes a lot of learning to move the needle for the driver.

So your answer is plow the money into track and autox time to learn car control and handling.

+1 to HPDE/Track Time. The car is great in stock form and much joy can be attained by a properly skilled driver.
