Default FLASH PRO for these mods or...?

hey guys, i have ordered a hondata flash pro for my 05 s2k.

some people say i should go for a kpro or AEM EMS

Kpro i have to change half my car round... sensors etc etc etc and run a diff ecu.

is it worth it or can a tuner get good power out of the flash pro.

for now ill be running toda headers, toda test pipe, J's 70 rs exhaust and password JDM intake.

i will then tune the car on that.

later i will add toda cam shaft, adjustable cam gears and heavier valve springs.

retune.

does anyone think the flash pro will be ok???? or should i go for something a bit more???

or go for something else. please any input

Flashpro is more than capable of tuning that setup but is only compatible with a flashable ECU (06+ DBW).

You can't use flashpro unless you have an 06+. The ECU isn't reflashable. Your choices are either AEM, Haltech or Kpro.

Theres a bunch of topics on the AEM EMS. I know one of the biggest issues with states that have emissions is that you lose the OBD2 sensor functionality and the regular check engine light functionality.
Ask your tuner what they are comfortable with, as that is what will matter the most.

hondata is a much better choice in my opinion.

for the years 2000-2005 the hondata kpro, you will need to use an ECU from the RSX as the base. because the ECU is still a facor honda item the OBD2 port still works.

obd2 functionality is important for 2 reasons; ability to have smog check dont and anything else you may add like an obd scanner.
kpro is fully programmable with features like mapped boost contorl, nitrous, 2 steop setting and datalogging plus more. basically it will do most anything for any power mods and the A/C and all the gauges will still work as they normally would.

As the KPro is based on the RSX ECU, there are a number of items and sensors that require replacement:

Crank sensor 37500-PZX-003

Crank wheel 13622-PCX-013

TDC sensor 37510-PZX-003

TDC wheel 14112-PCX-003

Valve cover 12310-PCX-020

Drain plug washer (for PCV valve) 94109-14000

PCV valve 17130-PCX-003

IAT sensor 37880-P05-A00
