Default Flashing LED Lights?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLURUWgtvFU

I am hoping someone can help me out.
This is something I have always wanted to do, But have no idea how
notice the Porsche's break lights(1:28). How does one make it flash randomly like that?

most likely it's the recording camera that's somehow capturing the led's flash like that... in real life they're not flashing

if you know saabkyle04 on youtube he has plenty of videos on super high end cars and he always mention the flash of the led taillights or led headlights(newest benz and audis) is "due to the trick of the camera"(exact words from him lol).

Thanks for the info.
That's what my conclusion was after some research a while back.
I did notice the flashing always shows in slow motion, if the video slowed enough to match the LED's flash rate.
I thought this video was playing in normal speed. That's why I thought the guy installed something special

Man the random flash looks so awesome ( not strobe). I wish they invent a chip or something that does it in real life

It's just the LED playing tricks with the camera.

That flashing idea could be dangerous in real life (if it were real) unless if you were actually braking, I ride and a lot of riders I nkow used to put that mod on their tail lights for reasons I have no clue why. *shrugs*.

I don't think is a camera trick, if you can tell on the beginning of the video the Porsche tail lights is reflecting on the s2k hood, if is a "trick" it won't be reflecting like that. There's sports bikes with this tail light technology already.

LED's actually flash and are not always solid on like we see with our eye. The shutter speed of the camera just happens to be the same as that of the LEDs and captures that on film. Its just like when you wave your hand in front of the old CRT computer monitors and it looks like your fingers bend.

They DO have a modual that you can wire into the wires going to the third brake light (I think bikers have it on their bikes as well) that cause the third brake light to flash. Google- blinking 3rd brake light

I have this mod in my third brake light, but what you can see in the Porsche brake is an anomaly of DV & LED'S on video.

Check this one one out:
