mine is mounted on the drivers side of the front bumper using a password jdm front license plate holder.

I use the rick's plate holder. I powder coated it Matte black. The finish that Rick's gave it was rather rough and cheap looking. I just powdered it so no pics on the car yet but here is what it looks like

I have the BYS plate holder (similiar to Ricks) and it does the job just fine though if I moved out of Cali I would probably just take it off all together

FYI: Be careful putting it in between the Dash and windshield, should you get into an accident it could turn into a projectile and can do lots of damage.
